WW: The Bar

So, you're all at the bar....

(Frankly, I think "From Dusk 'Til Dawn" is an excellent example of the problems with meeting in a bar...)

A cleric, a fighter, and a thief are at the bar. The thief looks at the other two. "What is this?" she asks. "Some kind of joke?" Erm. Nevermind.

Erm.

It was a late Wednesday evening at the "Raising The" Bar and Grill. The first guy walked into it, the second guy ducked.

[Sigh.]

The adventurers were greeted with a chorus from the chefs, speaking what seemed to be a foreign language full of extreme joyfulness punctuated with gestures from knives that must have had magical propensities to maintain their sharpness.

The boisterous acknowledgement swiftly turned into a display of advanced organizational skills as pillows, salads with strange purple tentacles, and small glasses of powerful draughts were placed before them. No menu was provided, but after a few moments, red slivers of meat appeared, placed on some sort of small grainy material, wrapped with an apparently edible thin green ribbon.

While the adventurers approached the meal with appropriate trepidation, mages and clerics both casting "detect poison" spells, nothing seemed to be dangerous.

So it wasn't until the screams, "Elf! Elf!" from the thief who had passed the kitchen in order to visit "the little girl's room" that anyone suspected that perhaps the meat wasn't entirely kosher.

It could have been worse. I could have gone with the "Singles Bar" idea.
