Gamer Hate

WISH 42 asks:

DO YOU EVER REUSE CHARACTERS FROM GAME TO GAME?

LintKing:With one notable exception, I like MAKING characters too much to reuse them. Even if I have a character I didn't get much chance to play, if I later have the option of picking up with them or making a new one, I'll almost invariably make a new one. At the same time, I do hold on to old characters, and keep most of them at least kind of `alive' in my head. That, of course, can get frustrating...there are many that I'd LIKE to play again someday. I just don't want to play them again MORE than I want to make someone new.

Happily, Meera has given me something of a backdoor for this...we reuse old characters as minor NPCs. We fit them into places that generally don't need stats, so he family is a bunch of jackasses and his friends are a better support circle for him?

I could make a case for either or both based on the two LJ entries.

(I know a lot of gamers who are out of work right now, but I know a lot of people who are out of work right now. The economy sucks.)
