"I suppose," I consider, "maybe the stress of another sea journey might bring out that particular pirate ancestor."
"But it's not very practical," he sighs and takes a sip of his tea.
"How about a ghost life raft?" I offer.
He starts chuckling. "How does that work? `Arrr, me mateys, we'll haunt this raft 'til our curse be lifted!'"
"Ghost ships getting scuttled by other ghost ships," I say in an 'of course' sense.
"`Alas, bein' forced to walk the plank after I be already dead...'"
