...At least for an idea what I see his magic being like, here are some ideas for some of his `personal' spells - e.g. ones that he's developed and used periodically, and the kinds of things he tends to actually keep `ready' rather than just building as needed...
Ace In The Hole - Random's take on an invisibility spell.
Ace Up The Sleeve - A concealment spell, allows Random to hide anything he can pick up. It's not just an illusion - this spell would let him tuck a medium sized table up his sleeve and still be able to bend his elbow. Actually used on something small, its concealment powers are phenomenal.
Ace of Hearts - Not so much an attack spell as an attack-enhancing spell - it will guide a swordthrust or thrown or fired weapon straight to the target's heart. (He found this, one one occasion, devastatingly effective against vampires.) He doesn't tend to use it fencing, because it kind of yanks his arm for it and can leave him open, but it's very, very good for knife throwing - it'll take them around corners if it has to, and if someone starts to run or dodge, it'll follow them. He CAN cast it on non-sharp objects, too, and they'll do their level best to punch through to the heart, but it's not as good.
Ace of Clubs - An area-effect inebriation spell - everyone in the room gets drunk. Random himself gets a little buzzed; he couldn't resist that.
Ace of Spades - A duplication spell (as in, "We've got that in spades!") Instantly creates dozens of exact replicas of something. He's tested this on both magical and technological `artefacts' and found that it does NOT invest them with any power, but it DOES give them the *appearance* of it, at least to all tests that he's been able to run. He CAN focus this to only create a single replica, if he wants to. (Doing the old Indiana Jones idol-replacement trick, for example, he could use this to leave a replica-idol on the stand to fool the trigger mechanism, without leaving dozens more littering the floor to trip over...) It is, however, a choice between one or dozens. He can't do three. In his head, he thinks of it as emphasizing "Ace" or "Spades". He'd have to build a "three of spades" spell to do three, so I suppose he COULD, but it'd take him a little longer.
Ace of Diamonds - Summons a thick crystalline wall - it expands, very very quickly, to fill in an area, so theoretically he could block off, say, half of the Great Hall, and it would only take about a second to fill in to the walls and ceiling. He's never tried it outside. He's pretty sure it would stop eventually. He's not positive.
King of Hearts - A strong charm spell, and Random's not stupid - it wears off gradually, so they don't suddenly think, "Hey, why'd I tell him all that stuff?"
Deuce of Clubs - Summons a pair of fighting staves that fight on the `dancing sword' principal. They're not ESPECIALLY good, but they are very determined, and breaking them just makes more pieces. What generally happens, in Random's experience, is that either their opponent also isn't very good and they beat them senseless, or the opponent IS good, hacks them into splinters, and ends up with lots of splinters as they do final `kamikazi' attacks and bury themselves in the victim's skin. Since he can handle the former type of opponent without these, he thinks of it mostly as a delaying/irritant spell, though they CAN make for a very handy distraction. (It's a lot harder to block his sword AND two dancing staves than it is to just block his sword, so SOMETHING's likely to get through even against a superior opponent.)
Jokers High - Think of it as flooding the air with nitrox; everyone starts feeling very giddy, very dizzy, and very giggly.
Bottom of the Deck - A tightly keyed teleport spell tied to a trunk he keeps in his rooms; in it he has a sword, a change of clothes, a rope with a grapple, a gun (no, it doesn't work in Amber), a grenade (ditto, but Flora's not the only one to find them handy elsewhere), and a brace of throwing knives. By casting this spell, he can pull any *one* of them out, appearing in his hand. These are, of course, actual, Real items, without the weaknesses of conjuration, though the spell itself has the weaknesses of a teleport...
Deck Stacking - Arguably a reversal of Bottom of the Deck; he can send a smallish item back to his trunk. It doesn't have to be one of the things he normally keeps there, but unless he's already taken something out, there's not a whole lot of room in there - he could probably send another sword back, or a book, or something similar. Note that he has to have CONTROL of the item to do this - it goes FROM his hand TO the trunk, just like Bottom of the Deck goes FROM the trunk, TO his hand, no exceptions. If somebody else is holding onto the item, too, he'd have to overcome their resistance to do it.
Luck of the Draw - Dramatically increases his luck.
Drumroll - An earthquake spell - this causes a massive kinetic energy release in an area, cracking walls/floors/ceilings, shattering glass, breaking furniture - it knocks people around both by the general shaking and in the direct effect of the energy releasing into them, too. It hits about a 30' sphere hard, with repercussions further out as the energy dissipates, and lasts for about a minute. Arguably Random's most powerful spell - note that he's certainly never had the temerity to cast this in Amber before; Oberon would kick his butt. With Oberon missing...well, Random's a survivor. Backed into a corner, he'd use it in a heartbeat. Worst that happens is he has to disappear into Shadow for a while, and frankly, he likes it better there anyway. (Okay, WORST that happens is Gerard nabs him before he gets away. But Gerard won't actually kill him. He's nearly positive of that.)
Fiddler on the Roof - An integral part of the casting is to jump towards a wall; from there, the spell carries him to the top of it. Doesn't matter how high the wall is - he CAN jump tall buildings in a single bound. At least, he can jump to the top of them. He HAS cast it inside, and it takes him to the top of the wall and he hits his head on the ceiling, but from there he actually has a second to do something else...grab a rafter, or kick off from the wall and try to make it to a chandelier, or whatever. After a second, he falls.
Wolf Whistle - Changes him into the form of a wolf, until either something external disrupts it or he decides to change back. Really, he uses it to get through Arden without Julian's hellhounds snarling at him the whole way. Jerk.

I love "themed" spell sets. I had a PC in a Con game do all "Chess based" spells on the same sort of principle.
I need to figure out sets for Marcus and Cadmus
