Nay, 'tis most credible; we here received it...

A certainty, vouch'd from our cousin...

[All's Well That Ends Well]

Aisling

What Marius Would Say Aloud:

A hint of enigma makes for intrigue, and that is Aisling in a nutshell. Could one crack that shell and find the sweet meat inside? I doubt it. The shell binds its dreams and heart. It is the question of where it will plant this seed, and what will grow from it that concerns me. With pruning and care, perhaps it will not be so poisonous to Amber soil as it thinks.

What Marius Wouldn't Say Aloud:

Mystery is a tool in a land where secrets have power, but it is a dangerous one to use. Does Aisling thrive on risk, or does it play the game in order to seem more powerful? I sense a fear in it. A fear of its countrymen, a fear of its secrets revealed. Are they so strong, or is it all that Aisling has? Will this new Amber be a refuge, or another prison for our 'Cousin'?

In Plain Words:

Never trust a Chaosite. It's a rule. They're not even human.
More than that, Marius thinks that Aisling's task is not yet done for Chaos. It is a weak link: either it is hiding, or it will be called upon again by its masters.

I've been meaning to comment on this. I find it fascinating that Marius refers to Aisling as an it, but still asks it out on a date.
